9th Annual Kids Derby

When: Saturday, July 12th, 2014
Time: 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Where: Riverside Park on Mississippi Lake in Carleton Place [MAP]

Entry Fee: FREE

The Renegade Bass Kid's Derby is a free event.
Lots of prizes available for all registered kids 16 years of age and under.
Fishing for this event is from shore.

There is no per-registration required. Simply show up and register at the event.
Kids are asked to bring their own fishing rod. Worms will be supplied.

Well it was a perfect day for it, and lots of kids showed up, including two of my grand kids who had a great time, as did all of them, and the parents that accompanied. The big guy was his usual generous self as he walked around passing out tackle to the kids as they were fishing. For me it was also neat to see the two Shimano live release boats. Good on them and Renegade for that. It looks like a good system, which is sure to help. I should of grabbed some pics. Maybe tomorrow if I go for the pro-am at 3:00. I'm rooting for Corey and Lawrence.
