I have scouted from Kanata to kemptville as I have to see 1 goose these past two days since sunday!!!
Is that posible that every goose that was here headed down southern direction as to antisipate the northens soon?

they may have found a better feeding area and now have a different fly path. I find ths time of year there are ups and downs between birds leaving and new migraters coming in. Its a good thing, I love when new birds come in, they have no idea that dark blob in the marsh is not supposed to be there. Hang tight you will see birds again soon.

I'll be on the field Sat AM - RAIN or not!!!
Some of my best goose hunts have been in the rain - a bit uncomfortable - but my experience is that geese fly lower and decoy better in the rain.

We had our 15 bird limit by 10:30am - rainy and muddy, the low clouds are great - lots of small flocks 7-12 birds, & they decoyed well!!
