Another McLaurin Bay pic????

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

So RJ...do you just return long enough to this site to stir the pot up now? You and BBR have something in common for sure. Maybe he's rubbing off on you....

Why is the first pic such a big deal?

Some folks went fishing and kept a limit of bass... I don't see the big deal. What would have been the reaction had it been a shot of a limit of walleye? Most likely a lot of congrats.

As for a stringer of bass and then released... well that's a different story and I'm not touching that one.

RJ: Can you not see the discontinuity of Ontario fisherman waiting until June 26th and 1 mile south of the border they are guiding people to sight fish bass nests in April.

Everyone relax, is not an intelligent opinion.
Because something is legal, does it make it right? Because cheeseburgers are on sale, should you buy 10 of them?

That is a disgusting display of an angler taking advantage of the resources(even if hes deserved to be called that). And yes I replied because its regarding bass but regardless most you guys know me Id comment on any amount of fish kept that size..

Truly disgusting and uncalled for! Id be tearing into them!(educating them on the benefits of releasing big fish like the one pictured) Even if its legal!

And to have someone comment that theres nothing wrong withthat pic shows me more and more people need to be educatedon the release of big fish in any water. And yes if it were walleye Id also have a hay day tearing into them lol. No fish should be kept in that kind of size. 10lbs bass or 12lbs walleye, 20lbs pike please..... Truly has one thing in mind, self benefit.. These are People I dont fish with or assosciate myself with! Grrrrr makes me cringe looking at it!! LOL

Spence you need to grow up a little bit. Give the people some credit. I may not or you may not agree with something but if it is legal there is nothing you or anyone else can do about it. You have no right to rip into people for the fish they keep. If I wanted to go and catch and keep 6 7-8 pound largemouth there isn't a thing you could do about it or change my mind about it because it is my right and priveledge to do so. I never would but if I wanted to I could.

And as to being disgusting, there is nothing disgusting about a proud person posting a picture of a LEGAL catch. To think like that shows me you are imature and are the one who needs to be educated.

I may sound harsh but it is people like you who make weekend fisherman out to get a meal feel like everyone else is an butt. I don't like seeing pictures of big fish being kept either but I will keep my mouth shut about it until something illegal is shown and maybe you should too.

Ohh to be young, idealistic, and so full of vigor.

I'd keep one of those fish.... for the wall, and, probably a 10lb+ eye or 20lb+ pike for the wall. So I say yes, a fish of that size should....... better say could...... be kept.

Had to pull this award outta retirement yet again...

Image

In regards to that link to BB444's pic, it would seem we can't go 6 months on this board without someone stirring up those past threads to 'cause a little controversy and everyone runs with it... Personally while that stringer pic disgusts alot of folks, the guy's taken gads of criticism over it and he has admitted to making some wrong decisions and is committed to improve his fishing practices in the future. I say leave him be and get over it.
