ottawa river levels???????

hello guys up in the ottawa valley im here in oshawa and i am heading to petawawa this weekend to fish for some eyes just wondering how the river level is i was there on the may long weekend in pembroke in the freezing cold and rain all weekend and was suprised that the river was not that high ....just wondering....and as well i am new to the board but have been fishing the ottawa river for about 15years great sit amd would like to say hi and maybe one day meet up with a few of you

This is the realtime hydrometric guage for most of the country. Its easy to navigate, is MUCH more details and current than the Ottawa RIver.ca site above.

You can look up last levels and compare, and trend rising/falling levels throughout the watershed.

here in town use the "Ottawa River at Brittania" guage.

But your site only shows from Britania onwards, I know it's the same pool untill Carillion but level can fluctuate at different sections from all the different tributaries.

The Ottawa river in Petawawa is around normal for this time of year. A little bit lower than may long weekend. You will be in for a treat with the eyes, they are on fire right now. They are hitting hard and on everything you throw at them. Hopefully they will still be on when you get here. If you are going to be here on Sat. there is a pike and walleye tournament out of jubilee lodge.
