:D I am working all weekend so I snuck out for a quick salmon fish this morning. Went out of Port Dalhousie. The fish were scattered ..but there are a few around.

Right back at ya

Are you familiar with Puslinch or Little Lake? After a google map search, it seems these lakes are no more than two minutes from my sisters :)

There is also a small lake called Shades Mill Lake but it's in a conservation area :?: Any fish?

Nice fish Salmon

Not known as good fishing lakes but they all hold a few pike.
Puslinch the lake off the main road is dead so dont waste your time there lol Fished every foot of that one last year and got one pike lol
Little lake is known more for bass but there are pike in there as well but not in great size or numbers. There is also a small lake on the left side of the road after you pass Puslinch on your right its about a km past that and i have caugh a few there years ago but mostly smallmouth there which dont open for a while yet.
Shades Mills was ok for ice fishing like 10 years ago but i think its pretty dead these days as well.
Little lake is probley the best of the bunch but you will need a canoe.
Its know for averaging only 8 feet in depth due to a silt problem.
They hold concerts there every summer to raise money to drudge out all that crap.
Worth a try anyways, who knows till ya try
Its a shame that fishing isnt better for people in the area to enjoy.

Good luck

:D As Halter said a canoe would help on all the water bodies mentioned. All of the lakes have come back some what and can produce good fish. Shades this winter had a few good pike to 15lbs. Also a 16" crappie. Puslinch has been slow for ice fishing but picks up in open water season. Only problem is its a little tough in a canoe due to speed boats and water skiing. Little Lake produces consistent pike to 4 lbs. Try the weed bed by the big gray house. There are lots of small perch and some good crappies, but you have to work for them. If your sister is up that corner of town..one end of town line at Gore rd has Mill Creek and brown trout. The north end of Townline at Blackbridge Rd has the speed River..bass,pike,and big carp. 10 min. drive and your at the Grand River and lots of everything..cats,bass,carp,suckers,pike and small mouth bass.

Beautiful fish Salmon. I love seeing those pics from down south, we need more of them here. Opens up a lot of new options for people who have never gone salmon fishing. I am one of them, and would love to give it a try sometime. Have had several opportunities in the past, but just have not been able to get down there.

Perhaps this year we'll need to make it point to give it a try and expand the repetoire of fish species.

Excellent job.
