Hope to be heading to Grippen Lake (Ontario) in June. Not much out there on the internet for help. I've found a map, and was wondering if anyone could offer any advice. We like fishing pike, and if the season is open, bass too.
Thanks in advance.

Grippen lake has a good number of large mouth with a decent population of pike not very big in size. There is only a car top launch on the lake so other than locals fishing pressure should be less then most lakes in its area. There are some good lakes around Grippen, Gan, South, Singleton I've fished Grippen and Gan. Gan has good pike and Bass with a good amount of angling pressure. Suit up for bass on Grippen it opens last week of June I think the 28th check regulations for accurancy.

I like to go here and make a topo map:
http://www.lio.mnr.gov.on.ca/en/index.html
and try to extrapolate the terrain around the lake to the lake bottom.
Hope to hear a report from Grippen!

Thanks for the info. If there isn't any public boat launch, then hopefully the lake is doing fairly well in terms of reproduction.

Hi all.
We've booked a cottage on the north end of Grippen Lake June 20th weekend. So far, I'm told the lake has decent bass and pike fishing, and has no public boat launch which means only the land owners would likely be on the water.
Was just hoping someone might have some more recents updates to add.
Thanks.
