Carp downtown Cambridge?

Went fishing downtown Cambridge to see if the carp would bite. I was using corn and baited the area with corn as well. After about 1 hour I started hooking into a lot of bullhead. Then something almost took my entire rod in the water, I set the hook and it felt real heavy, heavier then the 12lb carp I caught the other day. Had it on for about 10 seconds, then all of a sudden slack. I reel in and I look at my hook and it straighten out the hook lol
, got a good laugh outta that too bad it got away. I was using small #2 eagleclaw hooks I always use for carp and never had one do that before.
Anyone catch any brutes outta these waters? I fished behind that architecture college on that cement side walk.
