Carp downtown Cambridge?

Went fishing downtown Cambridge to see if the carp would bite. I was using corn and baited the area with corn as well. After about 1 hour I started hooking into a lot of bullhead. Then something almost took my entire rod in the water, I set the hook and it felt real heavy, heavier then the 12lb carp I caught the other day. Had it on for about 10 seconds, then all of a sudden slack. I reel in and I look at my hook and it straighten out the hook lol  , got a good laugh outta that too bad it got away. I was using small #2 eagleclaw hooks I always use for carp and never had one do that before.

Anyone catch any brutes outta these waters? I fished behind that architecture college on that cement side walk.

:D Lots of carp there. Some in the 20 lb range. If you want numbers use the same stuff your using but go down on the grass bank by the bridge abutment down stream from the school.

Thanks for the tip Salmon. I'll have to check it out this week and let you know how it goes with a report and pics hopefully. I normally fish for carp going towards glen morris about 100m down or so after that one bridge on the right hand side. Doesn't usually hold a lot of carp, but one summer we caught like 7 in about 1 hour there and a mirror at that :D

Thanks again.
