All-time Freshwater PB

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

All-time Freshwater PB

Post by TheFishstick »

Hey guys,

Just smashed my all-time freshwater PB with this whopper of a carp! Roughly measured 38"x29". Which should put it at around ~30-35lbs. Caught another that was a bit smaller at about 25lbs.

Nice catch! I'd peg it around 20lbs based on the photos of carp from the latest Canadian Flyfisher magzine and generally accepted weight estimates.

Here's an article from the Detroit Free Press w.r.t. estimating the weight of your catch based on its measurements.
