panfishes questions

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

panfishes questions

Post by icatchthefishes »

Hello, My wife and I are new here on Hawktalk..

where to go for catching bigger crappy this season? And also is season open for them so far?

All we caught were hunderds of mostely smalled ones last times out in spring of 2009. Hard to fillet/clean up and takes about 35-40 to make what 10 big fat ones have for meats.

Thanks, and looking forward to fishing with you and hearing where you think they grow bigger.

I hear they grow bigger where people don't keep hundreds of small ones.

I've heard that Dows Lake can yield large Crappie but have never personally tried it.

icatchthefishes,

I would suggest that you familiarize yourself with the regulations before you head out to catch dinner tomorrow.
