Hi everyone!

Not lookin to know all your secrets, just checking in how's the fishing in the St-Lawrence this year more specifically in Cornwall & or just up the dam (Long Sault area) & as well for bass & or walleye!

Me & my gf went out today in Long Sault area & got zip! one tiny perch thats it! Went in 10 feet or less, 20-30 then 50 to 60 ft. Used Rapala, Senko, Bottom Bouncer & a bit of drop shot! Talked to 2-3 other fishermen & prettyy much same thing! rough day today, not much was biting! Is it just me or what hehe!? Hows right under the dam this year!?

If you're trying for smallmouth try dragging some tube jigs. They always catch fish around Brockville you'd think they would work down that way too. I've never had any luck tossing senkos on the Larry.
If you want some Walters your best bet would be some night time trolling.

tube jigs definitely NOTED lol. I forgot how much people use those especially for the st lawrence! Ill have to go buy some!

As for the night time trolling oufff... thats a bit too scary on the old mighty St-Lawrence ! (for me anws). Thank you very much for the advice!

Ive been reading pretty much everything that there is to read on fish hawk concerning cornwall & st lawrence & its frustrating when you read that its very good fishing at a spot... you go, & nothing hehe! I know different days... time of year.. lotsof factors come in play, but gimme at least one fish hahahaha!

The st lawerence is a bit slow right now. Always is 2 or weeks after opener for some reason.

It should pick up very soon.

Drop shotting any kind of hump usually produces. Also the flats if you can catch them feeding the right crankbait will produce.

It was OK this past week when I had a couple of fellas down for the day. Not crazy but plenty of bites to keep em interested. Best Smallie was 3.5, like I said not stellar.

I fish Lake St Francis all the time and can say that it is a fish factory with lots of very big fish.
I must say though that it seems to me, and I may be wrong, but I have found that there is a tournament going on almost every weekend. or it at least looks like it.
I have found that after the first few weeks, the fishing gets a little tougher. Maybe this could be (or not) because a good number of fish have been displaced from there normall areas due being transported to tournament weigh in locations which are usually around the Cornwall area.

Was still gettin a few around beds about a week ago. I'd guess a lot are now post spawn and starting the transition to their summer haunts. That being said you can get em off the shallow flats and shoals all summer long and they're always worth a look see befor or after you go deep. Good luck!
