transducer mount

Post by bobl »

I have used urathane of the type used on windshields, on 2 boats . Rough up the surface with sandpaper first. After the transducer is in place hold it for a couple of hours with duct tape. It has a holding power of 900 psi. Any autoglass shop should be able to do this for you.

I epoxyed a pice a 1/2 inch plastic wood stuff onto the transom, this will hold the screws and doesn't rot, plus it makes it easy to mount another if you decide to upgrade .

Transducer

Post by Haybay Larry »

Jebby,
For years the old standard has been a small braket off the transom. You can use a small block of wood epoxied[maine epoxy] to the transom. Then you can screw in the transducer bracket to this with no holes in the boat. It also has a better reading through the water only....larry
