replacing side bunkers carpeting on trailer

Hi everyone, the side bunker carpeting on my 1993 Procraft trailer needs replacing and I was wondering if anyone had pics or information on how to replace it.

The actual bunks that the boat sit's on are fine its just the side ones that keep the boat from drifting over the trailer that need replacing.

I have purchased the carpeting but it looks to me that they glued the carpet together when it was installed new, I guess or used a heat gun in order to use zero stapples. Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. :D

When I did mine I glued and stapled with galvanised or stainless staples, just make sure you dont use regular staples or they will rust away probably within one season

OK, that's a good idea, where did you get those types of staples?

Thanks

I just used galvanized roofing nails -- 1.25 inches - seems to work well for the past 2 years -

I did my main bunks with galvanised roofing nails and they worked great as well.

YOu can purchase stainless steel staples at Canadian tire or most hardware stores.

in stead of using outdoor carpet glue I used contact cement. it holds up better than glue. I also used stainless screws with stainless washers for added strenght.
