But, in spite of the time it has taken to try and fix it, the weather has turned to crap and it might be nice to see a little sunshine in the background.
Saturday, MT and RUK hit the Rideau for some early morning eyes and then some musky.
The day was stankin' hot. Was late getting started, didn't drop a hook till 8am. No walleyes, ran out of patience. 9am looking for muskies.
No hits but did see a couple of good sized girls along the weedlines. Threw minnows, jigs, even white spinnerbaits, and couldn't coax a bite.
Even went so far as fish for perch. Couldn't get a darn hook up. Got off the water around 11am cause my nose was starting to melt off like Michael Jackson.

No pics, nothing to take pics of.

Sunday, took Misses Livewell, Big Bass Billy, and Princess Cassie out on the Ottawa. Now, there is a body of water (I hate the Rideau

Another super duper hot day, but just a little cooler and a little more bearable than Saturday.
Managed to get Big Bass Billy into a scrappy little pike.

Next Princess Cassie had a turn (no, it's not the same fish

I managed a nice little 22 pike, but no one wants to see my pretty face again. So ...
Misses Livewell was groaning "Everyone else has a fish except me, why can't I get one?".
Billy, without skipping a breath, "because you don't know how to catch fish"

But Misses Livewell was not be outdone. She silences the crowd with this nice little 20"er.

(wish I could get these in Angling Idol Contest)
That wrapped up our day, then off to the park to reward the kids for their patience.
