Blue Marble 2 stroke oil

Post by FishinJim »

I have a 20hp Yamaha 2S that uses a 100:1 gas:oil mixture. I am thinking of switching to Blue Marble 2 stroke oil. It is supposed to be good for the engine and the environment. Is this stuff as good as they say?

I've been using it for a couple of seasons in a 90 rude oil injection. Used about 4 gallons of the stuff, the motor definitely runs better, plugs are clean after a full season, but I change them every year anyway. There seems to be less smoke, but it still smokes on startup. Its a little pricey and can be hard to find, Basspro used to carry it, but couldn't find it there a last few times. So have found a local supplier but they are asking a premium price.
