Another shoreline Musky

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Another shoreline Musky

Post by fish4ever »

On fathers day, my buddy and I met early morning ( 5 am ) at the Chapman Mills conservation area on Rideau River. After a hot Timmy coffee and donuts , we started working the shoreline. Mosquitos were really unbearable, but that didn't stop us at all. We tried topwaters lures, deep diving cranks, nothing seemed to work. I had a bite on power bait minnow, but failed to hook the fish  . After we spent a couple of hours with nothing to show for it, we decided to move up the Rideau River and try our luck somewhere else.
The second spot was definitely more lively, the fish was more active, when all of a sudden , my buddy's line felt extremely heavy, and fish was on. As soon as I heard that, I ran lightning-fast back to the car to grab the camera. Indeed, when back my buddy broke his musky curse with this 11 lbs:

What a nice gift for fathers day. As for myself, I got skunked  , but seeing the joyous face of buddy made my day.

Thanks for reading, back to work :P
Cheers
