Musky Opener on The Niagara, My PB Musky

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Musky Opener on The Niagara, My PB Musky

Post by Riley H »

Hit niagara this morning for musky. Very first cat my dad catches a nice pike around 27". Then about my fith cast i hook into what turns out to be my biggest musky ever. Didn't get a good measurment on it but guessing around 44" and at least 20lbs. Also caught a couple of bass but quickly water released no pics. My dad also got a nice looking tiger musky and my brother got a small musky. All fish were caught casting bucktails. 3 musky landed in total, two lost at the boat and 4 follows, not a bad day. Lots of small musky in the river which means good fishing in the years to come.

Very nice fish Riley...real thick for it's length...great catch.

Sure do hope that fishery can get back to what it once was...all those little guys is a great start.

Riley,

that musky has really striking markings -- it's a gator and a half. NICE!

A real "toothy" outing for the crew.

W.
Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.
